Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. The singer combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B for a distinctive mix. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway up to the Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta, her roots are located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop an interest in music, as a singer and pianist at church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B musical scene. She was named the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls the stage show in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to sing as part of the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
