John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who focused on folk-pop music that brought joy to millions. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico he fell in the love of Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's popular state anthems has been a draw for many who have come to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated it was because John Denver is the only musician to truly embody Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first to be inducted into the hall. Today he personifies the state for all people. Through my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting people who are from New Zealand or the other side.
